Free For All Fridays - I

I is for Ice Cream... it is an attraction that children cannot resist. It comes in many flavors and multi-colors. And that's what makes it irresistible even to adults. I remember when I was small, me and my friends would race and meet the ice cream man when we hear his tinkling bell. And until now, I don't know why we called all ice cream men as - "Do".

"DQ" is for Dairy Queen - a popular ice cream parlour in Toronto.

H is for Horse, one of my favorite animals. It symbolizes speed and power. These are some of my collection.






Horse breeds are loosely divided into three categories based on general temperament: spirited "hot bloods" with speed and endurance; "cold bloods", such as draft horses and some ponies, suitable for slow, heavy work; and "warmbloods", developed from crosses between hot bloods and cold bloods, often focusing on creating breeds for specific riding purposes, particularly in Europe. There are over 300 breeds of horses in the world today, developed for many different uses.

Horses and humans interact in many ways, not only in a wide variety of sport competitions and non-competitive recreational pursuits, but also in working activities including police work, agriculture, entertainment, assisted learning and therapy. Horses were historically used in warfare. A wide variety of riding and driving techniques have been developed, using many different styles of equipment and methods of control. Many products are derived from horses, including meat, milk, hide, hair, bone, and pharmaceuticals extracted from the urine of pregnant mares. G is for Gekko - a genus of colorful and diverse Southeast Asian geckos commonly known as true geckos or calling geckos. F is for Flamingos or flamingoes. They are gregarious wading birds in the genus Phoenicopterus and family Phoenicopteridae. They are found in both the Western Hemisphere and in the Eastern Hemisphere, but are more numerous in the latter. There are four species in the Americas and two species in the Old World. Two species, the Andean and the James's Flamingo, are often placed in the genus Phoenicoparrus instead of Phoenicopterus. (Source: Wikipedia)

E is for Edwards Gardens... a botanical garden situated in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.


Edwards Gardens is one of several parks located in Toronto's ravines, many of which are connected by hiking and cycling trails ending on the shores of Lake Ontario. Free For All Fridays - C

C is for Clouds, Car, Church and Cruise - all in one day! We had nothing to do one Saturday and decided to take a daycation to enjoy the scenery up North.

Along the way, the sky was very clear and filled with cotton candy clouds. We saw a red vintage car and had the chance to stop by a church to thank the Lord for the many blessings received. To top it all, we took a boat cruise cum dinner and was entertained by a live jazz band.
