GPS Can Be Unreliable At Times

One Friday night on our way to New Jersey, we left Toronto at around 10:00 in the evening thinking that the weather would be fine ahead. It was not snowing when we left our place. Right after we crossed the U.S. border it started to snow and visibility was getting shorter. I could not see the white lines that divided the road and more so, could not determine where the edge limit of the pavement was.

I had to drive very slowly like a turtle and always stayed in the middle of the road. Lucky enough, there were not many cars coming from the opposite direction. As we continued to drive, I found out that our GPS was leading us to an unknown and strange place. It was taking us through small roads and away from our intended destination. I soon discovered that my GPS was not working. So much energy was spent and efforts to keep us on track without success. Good for us, we found a hotel to take refuge at 2 in the morning.

Free For All Fridays - C

C is for Clouds, Car, Church and Cruise - all in one day! We had nothing to do one Saturday and decided to take a daycation to enjoy the scenery up North.

Along the way, the sky was very clear and filled with cotton candy clouds. We saw a red vintage car and had the chance to stop by a church to thank the Lord for the many blessings received. To top it all, we took a boat cruise cum dinner and was entertained by a live jazz band.

Old Cars, New Cars

While on a group tour to Mackinac Island, Michigan we passed by Walter P. Chrysler Museum located in Auburn Hill, Michigan. This was a trip that I would never forget. Our tour guide had scheduled our lunch to be taken in the same premises as the museum. Unfortunately, their cafeteria was not selling something heavy for lunch. We had to rush to a nearby McDonald's which was about 45-minutes away. There were 50 of us in the group with grumbling stomach.

In spite of the unwanted situation, I enjoyed my trip to the museum. Chrysler Museum displays all kinds of Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep vehicles - from their vintage models to modern ones. I took a lot of photos of classic Dodge Chrysler vehicles with my ever reliable Canon PowerShot A70. One car that caught my eye, was the yellow Dodge Caravan turned into a sporty look. But I was surprised at how they preserved the old classic cars from losing their glamor.
