The Maid of the Mist is the name of the boat that ferries tourists to the falls for a sightseeing venture. Its maiden voyage was in 1846. From a distance, little blue objects move on the deck of the boat like some busy ants. These are people riding the boat wearing blue raincoats - else they get wet all over.
By the way, you won't find me in the pictures as I took them from the edge of the viewing platform using my Canon PowerShot A70.

Today marks our 11th year here in Toronto and I still haven't been on the Maid of the Mist :-(
ReplyDeleteTing,
ReplyDeleteMy friend was right then, when she insistently told us to take that ride. Too bad for you. When you take that ride at this time, you won't feel that indescribable "first time" feeling. The reason maybe is that you're now a Canadian.
