Sweet Home Alabama

It's motto in Latin - "Audemus jura nostra defendere" has been translated as: "We Dare Maintain Our Rights" or "We Dare Defend Our Rights." Alabama is located in the southern part of the US. It is bounded by Mississippi in the west, Georgia in the east, Tennessee in the north, Florida in the south. Its southern coast is facing the Gulf of Mexico.

We visited our friends who are based in Mobile, Alabama and stayed with them for about 5-days. As we were taken around Mobile by our friends, we were able to take nice shots of the place. Btw, we even had the chance to drive to New Orleans, Louisiana.

The above pictures were taken using Sony DSC-W80 on June 29, 2008 at Dauphin Island, a very popular tourist attraction in Mobile, Alabama and rich with American history. The second photo shows the Gulf of Mexico. On the horizon, one can see the fading silhouette of an oil rig.
