Normally, when we go out on a field trip, we plan ahead and do a lot of preparation. Details are considered like the places we plan to visit, the best scenic route, place to sleep, food and other supplies.
This time around, we tried to simplify by just considering the route and from there see how many kilometers we could cover.
Our plan was to go up North. Drive from Toronto to Killarney, then to Sault Ste. Marie (Ontario side); cross the U.S. border via the International Bridge to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Then pass by Saginaw for some shopping, and then head home via Fort Huron and Sarnia.
Unfortunately, we were not able to accomplish our goal. It was an ambitious plan to cover the hundreds of kilometers during the Civic long weekend.

Along the way. The weather was sunny and hot during our trip. |
Our first stop was the Killarney Provincial Park. A highly recommended place to go.

A view from the rocks... |
|
A nice place for canoeing. |
|
Bonding time for father and daughter. Both had their cameras and were taking pictures. |
|
The water is soothing for a swim to cool off from the scorching heat. |
|
One can enjoy the serenity and calmness of the things around. |

This girl went up the rocks maybe just to relax or take a nap. |
For sure, we will be going back to this place.
